Its purpose is simple: to explain some genuinely interesting ideas clearly, to cite the authorities that readers can consult directly, and to do so without selling anything or claiming to speak for any institution.

This domain has a long history as a home for science and scientific-software material, and the present reference is written in that spirit — a resource for students, teachers, science communicators, and curious readers. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a continuation of any company, laboratory, publisher, or organisation, past or present. The name is used here only as the title of this educational resource.
What We Cover
The collection is organised around a handful of durable topics. On the chemistry side we cover chemical notation and typography, the periodic table, and molecular orbital theory. On the physics side we cover atomic structure and antimatter, Feynman diagrams, and the fine-structure constant. A useful reference points beyond itself. We prefer sources that identify their methods, define their terms, and make the underlying evidence traceable. When several kinds of source are available, a standard, primary paper, or institutional record carries more weight than an unattributed summary.
